The University of Waterloo, often referred to as UWaterloo, UW, or simply Waterloo, is located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The university’s origins can be traced back to the Waterloo College Associate Faculties, a semi-autonomous division of Waterloo College, an affiliate of the University of Western Ontario, established on April 4, 1956. It became a separate university with the passage of the University of Waterloo Act by the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in 1959. It was created to meet the demand for technicians and engineers in Canada’s expanding postwar economy. Over the next decade, it experienced significant growth, including the establishment of an arts faculty in 1960 and the relocation of the College of Optometry of Ontario (now the School of Optometry and Vision Science) from Toronto in 1967.

Eligibility Criteria for Arthur Church Entrance Scholarships:
