UMAP-Canada Scholarship Program, 2024

The UMAP International Secretariat, hosted at Vancouver Community College, in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada, is pleased to announce the UMAP-Canada Scholarship Program for 2024. This program provides financial support for Canadian citizens and foreign nationals from UMAP member institutions to participate in physical and virtual study abroad programs within the UMAP consortium.

Eligibility:

  • For Canadians: Canadian citizens enrolled in UMAP member institutions in Canada.
  • For Non-Canadians: Foreign nationals from UMAP member institutions eligible to study at UMAP Canada member institutions.

Award Value:

  • Physical Mobility:
    • Four-month program / one academic term: $10,200 CAD
    • Five- to seven-month program: $12,700 CAD
    • Eight-month program / two academic terms: $14,700 CAD
    • Short-term programs (7-30 days): $3,500 CAD
  • Virtual Mobility: Up to CAD $1,000 per month, pro-rated for program type and length, for programs longer than one week (7 days) to a maximum of one semester (3-4 months).

Application Procedures:

  • Invitation-only application process.
  • Students must apply and be accepted to a UMAP physical or virtual exchange program.
  • Eligible students will receive scholarship application details upon acceptance.
