About the Scholarship:
The Dr. John Birch Music Scholarship has been established by the University of Sussex in honor of the esteemed former music instructor and organist, Dr. John Birch (1929-2012). This scholarship aims to support a dedicated organist in their pursuit of further development and performance opportunities while studying at Sussex. Eligible applicants include both current Sussex undergraduate and postgraduate students, regardless of their field of study, whether it is music-related or not.

Eligibility Criteria for Dr. John Birch Music Scholarship:
To be eligible for the Dr. John Birch Music Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be able to play the organ at a level no lower than Grade 8.
- Must be accepted or enrolled at the University of Sussex (applicable to candidates planning to enroll in 2023).
