  • Applicants are not eligible if they are recipients of other University scholarships unless specific permission has been granted in advance by the university.
  • Applicants must meet all financial requirements of a full-fee-paying international student, including tuition fees and additional costs, in order to obtain a student visa and maintain scholarship eligibility.

Application Process for University of Newcastle Africa Excellence Scholarship:

No separate scholarship application is required for the University of Newcastle Africa Excellence Scholarship. Eligible students who have received an offer of a place in a qualifying non-quota program and are commencing their studies at the University of Newcastle will automatically be considered for the scholarship. Successful scholarship recipients will be notified of the scholarship’s value along with their Letter of Offer and they should carefully read the Terms and Conditions before accepting or declining.
