Eligibility Criteria for the Australian Government Destination Australia Program:

To be eligible for the Australian Government Destination Australia Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Commence a new full-time program of study with a recognized provider in the academic year 2023.
  • The program must be at the Certificate IV to Ph.D. level and have a duration of one to four years under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
  • Reside in a regional area at the start and for the duration of the research, as defined by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure.

For International Students:

  • Maintain a valid student visa throughout the scholarship period.
  • Accept an offer to study a full-time program registered on CRICOS.

Application Process for the Australian Government Destination Australia Program:

The application deadline for the program is 9:00 p.m. on August 10, 2023. Please note that this application process is intended for approved tertiary education providers and not for students applying for scholarships in 2024.

A webinar for eligible tertiary education providers will be held on July 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. (AEST). This webinar will cover program details and the grant application process.
