University of York Postgraduate 60th Anniversary Scholarship for International Students in the UK for 2023

About the Scholarship:

Applications are now open for the University of York Postgraduate 60th Anniversary Scholarship for International Students for the academic year 2023/2024. These scholarships are awarded annually to international students to support their success at the University of York. Several of these scholarships offer a reduction in tuition fees of £5,000, £7,500, or £10,000 per year.

All postgraduate taught students will automatically be considered based on the date of application, and successful awardees will be notified in two rounds, on April 21, 2023, and July 7, 2023. No formal application is required for this scholarship. This scholarship is introduced in honor of the University of York’s 60th anniversary.

About the University of York:

The University of York, also known as Ebor or York for post-nominals, is a collegiate research university located in York, England. Founded in 1963, the university has grown significantly and now encompasses more than thirty departments and centers spanning various fields of study.

The university’s campus covers approximately 500 acres and is situated southeast of York. It includes the York Science Park and the National Science Learning Center and is known for its lakes, greenery, and abundant wildlife. In 2007, the university received approval to construct an addition to its main campus on agricultural land east of the small community of Heslington.

York operates a unique collegiate structure with 11 colleges as of 2022, and it became a member of the Russell Group of top-tier British universities in 2012. The university consistently ranks highly in national and international university rankings.

Value of the Postgraduate 60th Anniversary Scholarship:

The scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction of either £5,000, £7,500, or £10,000.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Postgraduate 60th Anniversary Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have received an unconditional or conditional offer to study at the University of York by April 2, 2023 (round one) or June 18, 2023 (round two). (Acceptance of the offer is not required at this stage.)
  • Have completed a fee assessment by April 2, 2023 (round one) or June 18, 2023 (round two) for applicants paying fees at the overseas rate.
  • Intend to pursue a full-time taught postgraduate Master’s program.

Please note that you will not be eligible if you have a full scholarship covering all of your tuition costs, and certain courses and programs are excluded from these scholarships (please refer to the official website for the list).

Application Procedure:

Applicants for the University of York Postgraduate 60th Anniversary Scholarship will be automatically considered based on the submission date. No additional application is required.

  • Round one: Scholarship winners will be notified on April 21, 2023.
  • Round two: Scholarship winners will be notified on July 7, 2023.
