About the Scholarship:

The University of Glasgow is offering scholarships to students from Turkey and Syria in response to the devastating earthquake that struck these regions. The University of Glasgow Scholarships for Students from Turkey and Syria for the academic year 2023–2024 aims to support students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate taught programs. A total of six scholarships will be awarded, including two for undergraduate and four for graduate students. These scholarships will cover full tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarships for Turkey and Syria Students:

To be eligible for the Scholarships for Turkey and Syria Students, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be Turkish or Syrian nationals.
  • Have an acceptance letter from an eligible undergraduate or graduate taught program for the fall of 2023.

The application process is open for undergraduate and graduate-level study in an eligible program.

Scholarship Overview:

Candidates will be considered for the scholarships once they have completed a university portal admission application. Students from relevant locations will be automatically considered for the scholarships.

Supporting Documents:

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  • Official degree certificate copy (or copies if previously earned)
  • Official academic transcript(s) containing details of subjects studied and grades/marks
  • Translated copies of certificates and transcripts into official English
  • One formal letter of recommendation
  • Proof of English language proficiency (IELTS – 6.5, TOEFL iBT – 90, PTE – 60, CAE/CPE – 169)
  • Additional documents as required for the chosen program

Application Procedure:

Only applicants with an offer of admission are eligible to apply for the scholarship. They must complete the scholarship application form to be considered.
