Scholarship Value:

For graduates of Sussex who enroll in an eligible master’s program at Sussex in September 2023 and hold a First or Upper Second Class Bachelor’s degree, the University of Sussex will waive £3,000 of their tuition fees.

Eligibility for the University of Sussex Graduate Scholarships:

  • Eligible Nations: All nationalities are welcome to apply.
  • Acceptable Courses or Subjects: Graduate scholarships from the University of Sussex are available for full-time PG (taught) study in any subject offered by the institution.
  • Admissible Standards: To be considered for a University of Sussex graduate scholarship, all applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Hold a First Class or Upper Second Class Bachelor’s degree from Sussex, graduating in 2023.
    • Have accepted an offer of a place in a qualifying Master’s program, either part-time or full-time, starting in September 2023.
    • Not be applying for a Master’s program at a university other than the University of Sussex.
    • Not be entering the final year of an integrated master’s program at Sussex.
    • Not have attended a university that is a partner of the University of Sussex, such as BIMM.
    • Not have studied at an overseas campus or program of a UK university.
    • Must not already have a scholarship from the University of Sussex.

How to Apply for the University of Sussex Graduate Scholarships:

To apply for the University of Sussex Graduate Scholarships, eligible applicants must express their interest during the process of accepting an offer to study. No additional application forms are required as admission applications will serve as the basis for automatic consideration.

Supporting Documents:

Applicants should submit the following identification documents:

  • A personal statement
  • References
  • Degree transcripts
  • Copy of their grade report
  • Proof of English language proficiency
  • At least one academic reference from their most recent university, including the referee’s contact information.

Admission Requirements:

Students should meet the following admission requirements:

  • For most courses, an upper second-class (2:1) or lower second-class (2:2) undergraduate honors degree or its equivalent.
  • American students must possess a high school diploma or equivalent to be eligible for federal student aid.
  • Applicants must fulfill the entry criteria for the master’s program they are applying for.

Language Prerequisite:

Applicants must meet the university’s English language requirements, which include proficiency in English through tests like IELTS or other recognized English language credentials. Waivers or completion of the Pre-sessional English course at the Sussex Center for Language Studies may also apply.
