The University of Heidelberg Hans-Peter Wild Talent Scholarships in Germany for 2023/2024

About the Scholarship:

The Hans-Peter Wild Talent Scholarships are awarded once a year, at the beginning of each winter semester, to exceptionally talented students from Germany and abroad who intend to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at Heidelberg University in the MINT field (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology). This scholarship opportunity provides valuable support for students in these fields.

Documents Needed for Hans-Peter Wild Talent Scholarships:

Documents for Bachelor’s Program Applicants:

  1. A curriculum vitae in table format.
  2. A motivational letter as part of the application.
  3. Foreign certificates for university entrance, translated into German or English, if possible, and converted to the German grading system. Include a copy of the original certificate, which must contain the final grade.
  4. Supporting documents related to MINT (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology), such as honors, awards, volunteer internships, professional training, involvement in working groups, seminars, or student academies, or a study plan if relevant.
  5. Two letters of recommendation from experts in the MINT sector, such as teachers, lecturers, associate professors, heads of research groups, academic staff, or lecturers involved in study programs or student academies.
  6. Admission notification, if available.

Documents for Master’s Program Applicants:

  1. A curriculum vitae in table format.
  2. A letter of motivation as part of the application.
  3. The first university degree relevant to the Master’s program, including the final grade. If the degree certificate is not available by the end of the application period, provide a certificate of current date from the university attesting to your academic accomplishments. The official diploma certificate must be submitted by the beginning of the first week of the semester following the application period.
  4. If applicable, foreign first university degrees must be submitted in their original form, along with a certified translation into German or English and an official grade conversion to the German equivalent.
  5. Supporting documentation of MINT activities, such as honors, awards, volunteer internships, professional training, conferences, presentations, and (co-)publications.
  6. Two letters of recommendation from experts in the MINT sector.
  7. Admission notification, if available.
