- Not registered students in Chinese universities at the time of application or graduates from Chinese universities within the past year.
- Meet the age and educational background requirements:
- Doctoral degree applicants must be under 40 years old and hold a master’s degree.
- Master’s degree applicants must be under 35 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree. (Applicants with bachelor’s degrees from top 500 world universities or ZJU’s overseas partner universities are encouraged to apply.)
- Possess a competitive academic record and strong research capabilities.
- Not recipients of any other scholarships.
- Language proficiency requirements:
- Chinese-taught programs: HSK certificate (Level 4 or above for certain subjects).
- English-taught programs: TOEFL (iBT 90 or above) or IELTS (6.5 or above).
Application Procedure:
- Complete the online application via the CSC Online Application System for Study in China.
- Print and sign the application form with ZJU’s agency number (10335).
- Submit the required documents, including the application form, passport copy, highest degree certificate, academic transcripts, language proficiency certificates, recommendation letters, academic achievements, physical examination form, and provisional acceptance form from ZJU professor.
- Applicants must secure admission to ZJU before applying for the scholarship.
