The Konrad Adenauer Foundation offers scholarships to international students from Tanzania, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia, enabling them to pursue studies at any of the 400 universities in Germany. This scholarship initiative targets international students and graduates with a university degree, supporting their endeavors in postgraduate or master’s studies, doctoral programs, or research fellowships lasting a minimum of three semesters at a German university.

    • Demonstrate above-average academic performance
    • Age limit of 35 when applying
    • Proficient in German language (B1 or B2 level)
    • Actively engaged in voluntary work
    • Plan to study a minimum of 4 semesters at a university in Germany
    • Possess a broad general education and a distinct interest in political issues
    • Have a positive attitude towards democracy and human rights
    • Open to developing personal points of view and practicing tolerance
    • Highly motivated and able to articulate life goals.
