The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), originally known as the University College of the Fraser Valley and Fraser Valley College, is a public university in Canada with campuses located in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, and Hope in the province of British Columbia. Established in 1974 as Fraser Valley College to address the demand for vocational training in the Fraser Valley region, it gained degree-granting status in 1988 and adopted the name University College of the Fraser Valley. UFV quickly expanded and became one of the largest university institutions in Canada.
In response to the growing need for higher education in the region and the province, the provincial government granted full university status to UFV on April 21, 2008. With over 15,000 students enrolled annually, UFV has received top ratings in British Columbia’s post-secondary education landscape, particularly in the 2010 Globe and Mail Canadian University Report, where it earned “A Range” ratings for educational quality, faculty-student interaction, and registration convenience.

UFV International Excellence Entrance Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the UFV International Excellence Entrance Scholarship in Canada, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV).
- Candidates must possess the necessary qualifications for admission to a UFV degree program.
- Adherence to UFV’s standards and regulations and a commitment to upholding them are required for admission.
- The scholarship is open to top international students applying to study at UFV in their final year of high school or those who have recently graduated with a minimum cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.5.
- Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for candidates.
Application Process for UFV International Excellence Entrance Scholarship:
The UFV International Excellence Entrance Scholarship based in Canada requires online submissions. Recipients of this scholarship must be outstanding international students who are applying to study at UFV either during their senior year of high school or immediately after graduation, holding a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.75.
