Benefits:
Fellows receive a stipend of $78,000 and an additional $5,000 for project-related expenses. If the fellow is a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident affiliated with a U.S. home institution, they may choose to have their stipend paid through their home university or directly to them.
Additional funding may be available to support childcare, housing, relocation, and healthcare, as needed. Fellows can also hire Harvard undergraduate students as Research Partners, and their hourly salaries will be covered.

Eligibility Criteria for Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowship:
Harvard Radcliffe Fellows come from diverse fields, but eligibility criteria vary depending on the area of expertise:
For candidates in the humanities and social sciences:
- Must have received their doctorate (or equivalent terminal degree) in their field of proposed research at least two years before the start of the fellowship (by December 2022 for the 2024–25 fellowship year).
- Should have a monograph or at least two papers published in scholarly journals or edited books.
For candidates in science, engineering, and mathematics:
- Must have earned their Ph.D. in their proposed field of study at least two years before the start of the fellowship (by December 2022 for the 2024–2025 fellowship year).
- Should have a minimum of five publications in scholarly journals, with many candidates having authored multiple papers.
For candidates in the creative arts: Specific eligibility requirements are outlined for various creative disciplines, including film and video, visual arts, fiction and nonfiction writing, poetry, journalism, playwriting, and music composition. These requirements may include published works, exhibitions, performances, or contracts for book publishing.
Please note that this fellowship is not intended for recent post-doctoral research but rather for individuals with a substantial body of original research or creative work.
