About Central Michigan University and Scholarship
Central Michigan University (CMU) is a public research institution located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Founded in 1892 as a private normal school, it was originally known as the Central Michigan Normal School and Business Institute. In 1895, it became a state institution under the administration of the Michigan State Board of Education. The university received its current name, Central Michigan University, in 1959.
CMU offers a wide range of academic programs at the undergraduate, master’s, specialist, and doctoral levels, covering diverse fields such as entrepreneurship, journalism, music, audiology, teacher preparation, psychology, and physician assistant. Eligibility Criteria for Central Michigan University International President’s Awards
Applications are accepted from candidates from any country worldwide. Eligible Fields or Courses: Any program offered by the university qualifies for the Central Michigan University International President’s Awards. Qualification Standards: To be considered, candidates must meet all of the following criteria:
- A GPA of 3.3 or above overall (on a US 4.0 scale)
- Proof of English proficiency
- Completion of a minimum of 30 college credits (required only for transfer students)
